Welcome to Commanders Flag Football!

This amazing league is brought to you in collaboration with the Washington Commanders and NFL FLAG. This registration is our Winter 2023 Season, running starting in early December and running through Late January. Registration for our Mid-Winter 2024 Season, which will take place from February 18th to March 24th, will open in early October.

Join the largest youth flag football organization in the country! This is a 6 game season held on Sundays. There will not be a meet and greet for the Winter 2023 Season. Younger divisions generally play earlier in the day while the older divisions typically play later. Practices take place before your game time each week to ensure a convenient and fun experience for all. Due to field space constraints, each team will only have a 25-minute practice prior to your game each week. Your practice will be on a 46'x90' field that you will be sharing with another team. Practice times will be staggered so your practice could be one hour before your game or 30 minutes before your game depending on the schedule. There are no Madden Playoffs in the winter leagues, each participant will receive a participation medal at the end of the season.

Participants will receive a Washington Commanders NFL reversible jersey, flag belt, and individual participation award. Games will take place between 3:30pm- 8:30 pm. This is a 5 vs. 5, non-contact, recreational, co-ed format. We try to limit teams to 10-11 players to maximize playing time.  

**There is a limited number of space available in each division. We will not be able to open additional space once those spots are full.

This is an exceptional program for first-time players who want to learn the fundamentals of football. This is also a wonderful opportunity for players who may want to continue to enhance their skills before taking the next leap into tackle football. There are no try-outs! Everyone participates!

Our program relies on volunteer parents to coach our teams! Each team will have up to 3 volunteers assigned. We encourage all parents interested in volunteering to do so during the registration process. Positions available are; Head Coach, Assistant Coach, and Team Manager. We will provide several resources along with a comprehensive coach meeting to ensure all coaches have a fun and successful season!

Winter Registration Deadline: November 5th or when all the spots are filled (whichever comes first), The Winter League has limited spots available and once they are full, we will not be able to add additional spots in the league. Late Registrations will continue after the deadline depending on availability.

Season Start Date/First Game: December 3rd, 2023 (there is no meet and greet for Winter 2023)

End Date: January 28th, 2024

An exact schedule will be created and posted 1-2 weeks prior to the season start date.

Registrations will be accepted after the deadline based on availability and will be subject to a $10.00 late fee.
